Cell 11 Tidal and Sediment Study |

The Cell 11 Tidal and Sediment Study (CETaSS) has now been published and is available from this site under the Shoreline Management Plan 2 menu. CETaSS aimed to improve our knowledge of the sediment transport and hydrodynamics of the Eastern Irish Sea and the effect that natural processes could have on coastal management. Various topics of interest were investigated and the results summarised in a main report and technical appendices. This scientific work will support future shoreline management decisions in the region, including the Shoreline Management Plan. |

Following the end of the Public Consultation period we have now begun to publish the final SMP2 documents in preparation for their adoption by Local Authorities and the Environment Agency, which should be completed by December 2010. So far the main SMP2 report, the glossary and all of the individual policy statements for specific lengths of coastline have been published as final versions. The Appendices will be updated and published in due course. Follow the links from the Shoreline Management Plan 2 menu above to view the documents. |
